What is your favorite brand and why?
I’ve always loved Patagonia because of the quality and comfort of their products and in recent years they’ve had some really inspiring (and actually sincere) sustainability campaigns that promote limiting consumption, even limiting the purchase of their own products, in favor of reducing waste and purchasing “worn wear.”
For me, they set the bar for a brand being authentically tied to their mission and product.
We hear you married into The Crack Shack family. What’s your go-to order you recommend everyone tries?
The Firebird for anyone who can handle spicy. It’s their most popular sandwich for good reason. For when it’s California cold outside (below 70 degrees) I recommend the Matza ball Posole, a comforting, warm, life-changing blend of Mexican and Jewish food.
If you could pick three famous people to be a part of your entourage, who would you pick?
Larry David, for he is my spirit animal.
Will Smith, the greatest entertainer of our generation.
Oprah, for her generosity and star-power.
If your dog and cat could each tell you one thing, what do you think they would say?
Bill (cat) “LET ME OUT! Live free or die!”
Beasley (dog) “Please, protect me from Bill.”
As a native east-coaster from Connecticut, what would you say you miss most about the East Coast?
The snow, the sarcasm, bodega sandwiches, foliage, and my family (not in that order).
If you could live in a book, tv show, or movie, what would it be?
Probably a pretty popular answer, but Harry Potter. Not until after the fall of Voldemort though, I just want to go to Hogwarts, learn magic, and drink butter beer – I don’t want to deal with Death Eaters.
